The fascination with aerial photography using a balloon started for me back in February when I thought it would be a fun experiment for my children and a local home-school organization to launch a GPS-tracked balloon to see it’s speed and direction based on elevation due to winds aloft.
After a “test flight”, I decided to expand on the idea – adding a camera a data collection to the flight package as well.
